    The Haze Cardigan combines mohair and merino wool with an oversized v-neck shape to create a cosy wardrobe staple. It is knitted in an overall stockinette stitch with a double-knit or folded-hem front edge and a 1x1 rib hem and cuffs. 

    Skill Level: Confident Beginner to Intermediate

    Required Techniques: knitted cast on, backwards loop cast on, knitting flat, knitting in the round, stockinette stitch, 1x1 rib stitch, increasing, decreasing, double-knitting, picking up stitches and binding off.

      Suggested Needles:

      • 3.5mm [US 4] circular needles (40cm, 80cm or 100cm in length) 
      • 6mm [US 10] circular needles (40cm, 80cm or 100cm in length)

      Extra Tools: Tapestry needle (to weave in ends), tape measure, scissors, and stitch markers.

      Gauge (after blocking):

      • In stockinette stitch (using 6mm [US 10] needles): 14 sts / 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches].
      • In 1x1 rib stitch (using 3.5mm [US 4] needles): 16 sts / 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches].

      Materials:

      Work the jumper using two strands of yarn held together. One is Sport Weight yarn (5ply - 12wpi), and one is Worsted Weight fuzzy yarn (10 ply - 9wpi).

      NOTE! The jumper can also be worked using three strands of yarn held together for a chunkier, heavier feel: one strand is sport weight, and two strands are worsted weight (as seen with the cardigan in pink). 

      • Approx amounts for using one strand of Sport Weight yarn: 200 (250) 250 (300) 300 (350) 350 (400) 400g of Drops Baby Merino, 50g/175m.
